Shootout to give us an update on what’s going on with the Salisbury Fish Hatchery.

What would be the impacts on fish culture operations if
Salisbury were to shut down?

There has been a continuing initiative to shutter operations at the Salisbury Fish Culture Station,
the hub of state fish culture in Vermont. This has been proposed multiple times over the years
based on budgetary constraints and discharge permitting requirements. During last year’s
Legislative session, the Senate Institutions Committee approved funding to keep Salisbury open
