I am thinking of hitting lake champlain NY in May this year. Is that a good time when the LM and SM are shallow ? I will be fishing the northern end. Way north part.

Ive had good luck in May on the senkos in shallow weedy areas hittin the aggressive nesters.

check the laws first,Vt. has a catch and release season that starts in April and goes into May,artificials only,,,not sure of NY laws? anyone?
