Maybe not all is lost?

Post by raz »

Not that it was a super day on the lake Monday 6/12 but it was promising.
I didn't get on the water until 11:30 and was off at 3:30...far far to the north.
I went 5 for 6, solo, with just two rods in the water at a time. 4 hits on a rigger set between 27 and 38 down. 1 hit each on a mini slide diver back 120' and 6 colors of lead with a heavy clip weight.
1=10" brown, 1=10" landlocked, 2=17" landlocked, and 1=24" landlocked 6 poundish.
3 different year classes.
The 17's were fat and feisty little footballs, the 24 was fat, clean as a whistle, no scars, and will at some point be in my belly. It also had 3=5-1/2" alewife's, and 1=5" yellow perch in it's gut.

Hey, these selfies on water are tougher to do than I thought.

4 of them seemed to like my imitation of a 5" alewife: :o ;)

Believe it or not, this was my shakedown. I think I get the lake record for the latest ever shakedown? :?:

A steelhead will have spots in tail, salmon will not.
