Inland Sea 1 Riddler 0

Post by riddlervt »

Finally made it out for the Wednesday nite troll with the boys. On the water about 4. South wind 13Mph
with gusts to 15mph, according to the weather buoy. It was all of that...At the onset it looked to be a
warm night, 80 degrees and sunshine. By the time I got to the launch the clouds had moved in. Better fishing I thought..... We ran 3 riggers with fixed cheaters. We landed one perch that never released. Weeds on the lines and cables where an issue. On a positive note we didn't have to share the launch or
our secret spot with anyone. Marked some nice bait balls but no big marks with them. A few isolated pods of larger fish in the 60-80 zone over 90-100 FOW.

I thought an evening bite may do the trick... Looks like you earned a nice fish with the effort and it didn't pay off... either way it was worth the try and thanks for the report... Not all trips produce and your report prove it.

Thanks for posting!!

Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work!

We were out in the afternoon. I think we were getting off when you were starting out . Similar bite for us , fished the east side of cedar. Did a half dozen short fish, mostly on sliders down 55 over 100 ft of water. Bright colors in the sun were the ticket. I think the fish are there, just keep working ....

Can anyone recommend a good launching point for a canoe near some waters with potential? I've been to Shelburne Bay a lot jigging for lakers and salmon and am looking to change it up. Not looking for anyone's spot, just a general area to start since it takes a bit longer to explore in the canoe. Thanks!

Converse bay is nice little further south of shelburne.
Or mouth of otter creek, Casin point.
