Jan 26 2012 Who would of thought
Banged into work today and met Rondog and my usual fishin partner Randy at 6 in LG drove to Westport. Rods in the water on a south troll at Barbers. 3 Passes 3 lakers.
Tons of bait but no silvers. Thank you Supercab for Fatheads cell#. After a conversation with Jeremy we picked up and ran to Split Rock. We seemed to do our best tight to the Point with a silver Speedy Shiner on a 3 color leadcore. Our riggers never fired. I did manage a 22 inch Salmon on a 000 Silver doger with a homemade Flashabou peanutfly 16" behind.
We ended the day with 5 Lakers 5 Salmon and 1 3lb Brown and a full belly of Venison chili
The only month of the year I have not used my Boat is Febuary BRING IT ON

Great pics.. and tasty food.
Looking at the water in the pictures, it sure feels like a great day to be on the water.
Congrats for your catch and wish you nice weather ahead so you can give it a try in Feb.

Thanks for the replies. I forgot to mention water temps at Barbers were 37-38 deg. With Splitrock being 40+.

I need an "on" season myself. Too windy today (I read) but I may actually launch The Office one of these nice February days I am hoping for. I did make up a nice bucket of hot Meguiar's-loaded water today and scrubbed the boat in the garage! Not sure if that helped me or made me depressed...Reelax wrote:When I opened your thread, I thought I could smell chilli!!! Nice results... Keep em coming. I need a house boat with a commercial kitchen and downriggers out the portholes to keep up with these guys however LOL

Nice chatting with you on the radio. I watched you guys pick up a few. Always fun to watch from another boat! Way to enjoy a beautiful day, see you out there in Feb!
