Caught some there 10 days ago in 8 FOW(http://www.lakechamplainunited.com/foru ... f=4&t=4181). With the late spring we got this year, I thought it was just starting and there's still a few weeks before they go deeper.

I have been out four times around the point and have had one release with no fish. Very frustrating as we are seeing fish but nothing we throw at them have invoked a hit. Tried morning, afternoon and evening with same results. My lures are sparkling but I prefer dirty and smelly!

I have had similar luck South in the 17/19 area. 5 trips and only 3 salmon with NO lakers. Last few seasons I had 100+ larger lakers from the shallow water by now. Fish are just not on top right now. Water temps are 42 F @ 10 ft. Seems like it should be good but who know's? There does not seem to be any bait in the shallows like past years at this time perhaps the shoreline spawning of the alewives is still to come as water remains to cold.
