Kayak fishing the Inland Sea

Post by aronm »

Fished close to shore with spoons this afternoon from my kayak. Once the rain started and the lake settled down the fish started to hit. Lots of short strikes, but seems to be a lot of salmon in the sea.

It is a lot of fun. I've been fishing out of it for 6 years and can't get enough.

Looking good Aron! Glad you pulled a couple in the yak. I could see trying that sometime. Hope your success continues!

That is pretty sweet. What kind of boat are you using, I'm pedaling the Native Mariner and it works great for trolling with the propeller... I have been wanting to troll Sand Bar for a while, this weekend I'm going to the North East Kingdom to try some small ponds for brookies/rainbows and lakers.

I use a Hobie Kayak - Revolution 13. I have mostly fished it in the ocean for stripers and fluke and Lake Champlain for lakers and salmon. Good luck in the Northeast Kingdom - let me know how you do. I have fished Willoughby a couple of times, but with little luck.
