Boat modification

Post by pierre »

For the last few weeks I’ve been working on my boat making some changes and some minor repairs. First I changed a battery due to a switch mal function and then some changes for a better comfort on the boat. As I was changing a switch in the dashboard I broke the small plastic plaque that holds de switch down so I made a new one in teakwood and I made a platform in the back of the boat and I installed my new fish hawk x4d. I’am waiting for a part from Lund that is on the way so I should be ready to go fishing very soon. I just had an operation on my left hand for the carpal tunnel and so far it is going very well; it’s healing well so see you all on the water soon. I have also an other project that I am working on and I will let you in on it a little later.

Neat stuff! Best time to work on your boat in the off-season!

Pierre, good stuff, wondering though, you have all your transducers so close together, do you get any interference as most manufacturers suggest will happen?

very good point at most only two or three will be working at the same time. I will be able to answer more positively in a couple of weeks from now as I added two more this year.

Pierre,

I am wondering if you have any updates on whether or not you are experiencing interference with the transducers all on the same side. I would like to follow your design if it is working out OK!

Pierre- you have a great boat, comfortable and well set up. It fishes very well and I was totally impressed with the hydraulic auto pilot. With that and the micro-adjust trolling motor throttle that is quite a machine and our numbers at the DYP tell the story: it fishes very well!

Thank you for being a gracious host with me aboard at the DYP. Still looking forward to my chance to try those spoons!

fishhuntadventure it was great to have you aboard, hope to do it again. As I've been very busy with the purchasing of land and getting it cleared for the new construction which should begin soon. Will be finalising things in the coming weeks.

I've been out only 4 times so far and got skunked once I shoud be on the water a bit more in the coming weeks as my project should start moving quicker unless I get more paper work delays from my attorney :D

my setup and it's working fine
