Out of the Peru Launch

Friday Aug 2, we launched at the Peru Launch at about 09:30 and made our way out south of Valcour Island. We set up the riggers at 28' and 52', with long lines at 25' and 15' we trolled between 2.6 and 2.8 mph (GPS), and headed south past Ausable. We continued our journey south past Ferris Rock and towards Schuyler's reef and then on to 4 brother islands. We changed up the colors, speed (2.3 to 3.1 mph) and depths from 25 to 90'. All the way, we noted bait fish clouds between 25 to 55' and only ran into flees when fishing beyond 50' deep. All that effort to wash spoons and sticks LOL. Did a U turn at 4 bothers and trolled north into Willsboro bay. Brought up the lines and trolled for bass between main shore and Schuyler's island, managed to large small mouth. As we got back to deeper water set up deeper lines again, but to no avail. Finally made our way back to Peru Launch around 7 PM and headed home.

It was a great day to be on the lake, but just didn't figure out how to get the fish to cooperate.
