Whitefish in Champlain?
Was wondering about these fish, if we have them, if you catch them? I did a little research and they're not the same as a cisco, close but not the same. Thanks guys
Re: Whitefish in Champlain?
I caught one ice fishing off Isle LaMotte many years ago. I was targeting perch and out in the deeper water, like maybe 40FOW? As I recall it hit either when I was dropping down or pulling up, it was not on/near the bottom. I was using the old reliable set up of 8# test, #6 hooks and live minnows on a hand line.
