We have been fishing most weekends... Looking forward to the LCI. Just wish my son was home from Afghanistan in time but wont be here until a week after tournament..
I hit Shelburne bay on Sunday with my friend Aaron. We had moderate success going 5 for 7. Of the 5 lakers we got to the boat, the largest one weighted in at 9.5 lbs. The lakers we caught were pretty spread out with one coming at 45 feet deep and the largest laker from 100 feet deep. We marked the most fish down 90-140 feet in 150 feet of water. Two lakers came on a hammered blue and silver mooselook spoon and the bigger laker on a silver and blue warrior spoon. If the salmon won't play, usually the lakers will! It is hard to beat a day of fishing on Champlain with a good fishing buddy!!
