Post-tournament bass dispersal research report available

Not exactly “new” news, but those interested in the fate of bass following live release tournaments might want to check out this link.

It’s a rather lengthy and somewhat technical report but details what was learned from a large tagging/telemetry study on Lake Champlain in 20111 and 2012. Among the take home points............bass dispersal is complex and slower than you might guess. Although the study did not focus on mortality, it did confirm the rather low mortality rate associated with these events in both 2011 and 2012.
The report was distributed to some audiences, but likely never posted on the Lake Champlain United forum site. What can I say - better late than never!
