Took the wind predicts at face value and set up south of the causeway out of the Lamoille. Gusty, but, 1-2's for the most part. From mouth of Lamoille to Robinson Point and back. Nada. Nothing on the screen for much of that venture. But decided to focus on the mouth of the Lamoille and started seeing some action on the screen. Had the rigger fire twice (once 20' down, once 15' down in
60-25 FOW. Both huge hits. One jumped to shake off. 100' behind the boat and huge silver out of the water. 6lb's easy. Steelie? Salmon? Nothing in the boat, but 2 nice tugs. No takers on the long line.

Cruising out in front of the river often produces fish this time of year. Might be time to replace a well worn out reel?
