Come and hear what the experts say
Join TU and help make a difference to your cold water fishery. Central Vermont TU used to have a very large lake contingent.

It seems to me that there are fewer cormorants lately. What do other anglers think?

they have gone south. large flocks were down here in the southern part of champlain in october and november and filled the bays up eating perch before migrating south. they will be back in early spring and multiply.

There are still way to many Cormorants on Lake Champlain what has happened is all the harassment of them has been north of the Lake so the Cormorants have all moved to Four Brothers island and are spending most of there time in the central and southern end of the Lake we see flocks of 4000 birds everyday

4 brothers is ridiculous with the amount of birds. I bet 2 raccoons and 2 grey foxes per islands would take them out.
