This is the list of Champlain Lake Trout fin clips used for age ID from the past 23 years.
Zero fin clips in most cases indicate non-hatchery fish that have reproduced in the lake. When identifying specific fin clips, be aware that a regenerated fin can and does closely resemble a fin which has not been clipped.
The Adipose (AD), Pectoral (LP or RP) and the Ventral (LV or RV) fins will be the only fins clipped for identification purposes.

Re: LAKE TROUT FIN CLIP ID by YEAR
Good info. Thanks. I have a nagging fear that the lake trout are going to be absorbing even more angling pressure than usual this year.

Now THAT is some cool information.... Looks like REELAX is gonna get slimy this summer, been years since I targeted Lakers, but from what I have seen it may be the new thing to do judging by our current Salmon age structure in the lake.
I'm gonna laminate this and keep it on the boat for reference....
Thanks BILL!
