A great day on the pond indeed. Thanks Matt as always for the great trip on the lake. We hunted and pecked around for them, but once we got on the pod of fish it was on. We did do a pair of Lakers, a cisco, a white and yellow perch as well, so a nice mixed bag. Of the two fish harvested, there was some digested smelt and that's about it. No evidence of developing eggs in the two we kept. Very clean fish that will be smoked this week. We did dispatch one larger lamprey from a small lake trout, but other than that fish were clean.
A great day to explore and we were rewarded with nice fish.
The watermelon spoon is a 61 gun from AJ Bait and Tackle in NH. He's got a great selection on his website, and of course thanks to Jim and CI for continuing to develop great fish catching products, and YES, the hot hooker has been the choice for me as of late, great spoon

I should have chose to go down to Convers on 9/30 instead of going out of Mallets Bay we got nothing but weeds all day couldn't find a place that wasn't loaded with weed finally motored over
to the NY side and it was better but still lots of weed, did manage to hook our vary first white fish
that was exciting we finally gave up and went back to the outer bay on Mallets and caught bass until it was time to call it a day and head home.
