Re: Lake Champlain Cold Water Fishing is Terrible
After two weeks of being away, I jumped back into the boat to give it another try. Went out by myself after work and went 8/12 on lakers in 2.5 hours. Tough doing everything on my own but it allowed me to do what I wanted (and needed) to get fish in the boat. Used two lures, both with pink and blue ...

Re: Active Lakers and Expensive Mistakes
Awesome story. Now if I could find my brand new Oakley’s, fishing rod and god knows what else has gone overboard near Providence my wife would get off my back about the costs per pound!
Sounds like a good ending to a tough story.

Lake Champlain Cold Water Fishing is Terrible
This has to be the worst year ever. I have tried everything and went back to basics, fished all times of the day, and fish in the boat are minimal. Forum not active so assume I can’t be alone in this statement. Can find bait balls and fish on the graph but no takers. Today we joked about a perch as ...

I have a son getting married in August and since Lake Champlain fishing is terrible we are thinking of a charter possibly out of Henderson Harbor for July 28, 29 for 4-5 folks. Been a while since I have been to the Big O so your assistance greatly appreciated. Note have tried contacting Saiff Charte...

Re: Disappointing season - thus far
Began the year with high expectations after a decent year last year. With kids getting married, buying/building houses and of course a heavy work load, did not get out as much as I wanted. Yes the fishing was tough nearly all year with sporadic good days in between but a bad day fishing still beats ...

Lake Champlain Coast Guard Potential Changes
Not sure if you might be interested in potential changes of northern water ways including Lake Champlain. A boating friend of mine forwarded a document outlining the potential changes to buoy markings and in some cases removal altogether that I found interesting/concerning. Please review and if nece...

Re: 7/2 Juniper
Brought the boat around for the fireworks and decided to try this area for an hour. Saw fish 65' down over 90' but only one release. Two other boats in the area but traffic started getting busy. Very dirty water and lots of crap near mouth of Winooski. Saw a couple big logs that scares me going home...

Re: Broad Lake Laker Fishing
Nothing better than sharing our Lake with those not having the opportunity. And it gets better when we get to see their faces regardless of whether the fish ends up in the boat. Job well done!

Contact the net manufacturer. They sent me a new one free of charge. Had it in three days.

I was thinking the same. Have seen the UVM boat out and about. Wonder if they have any insights?

Re: Economics 101: 4 riggers vs. 2 riggers.
Great post. I have a 26' boat but limited deck space and two electronic riggers has worked fine. Now I if I could convince the wife to get auto pilot I would be set.
Simple works for me.

No luck this year
Not been a good year so far. Went out in mid April, caught two Lakers and lost my engine. $7,000 and three weeks later went out again. Caught two Lakers but had to work hard for them. Been out a few more times – some with no releases and others with many but no fish. This morning fished near Colches...
