Day one of derby went well we boated 35 lakers just could not break 8-9 pounds

We mostly fished bouncing bottom and purples seemed to rule the day

We only boated 7 lakers our biggest 10.1 pounds very slow bite for us our most productive lure was a diamond king red tipped silver body i will never figure out why fish go after 1 particular color?

I upgraded the trolling B's last year and I was in a light blue Steiger Craft Hardtop the bite was slow but we did mark a decent number of fish not much bait on the fishinder though.
