Re: Lowrance Cable Steer Autopilot Help
Yes, I did choose the point 1. Under network devices I see them all, the point 1 the virtual rudder feedback the nac-1, etc., the point 1 is mounted to the bow, but I would be happy to change it. Should it be in the middle of the boat someplace? I would welcome the help. I'm in central Vermont. The ...

Re: Lowrance Cable Steer Autopilot Help
Was out with the boat today, verified settings, software is up to date. Re commissioned the autopilot and still I am having issues. I feel like I just need to pay someone to make it right. Is there anyone around who works on these things? I can't believe I am having this much of an issue, I literall...

Re: Lowrance Cable Steer Autopilot Help
I am having this issue while on the water and in motion, I can steer the motor with the HDS just fine but it just doesn't maintain direction. When I originally set it up and it was doing this I had thought it was because of the bow mounted trolling motor being too close to the Point-1, so I removed ...

Re: Lowrance Cable Steer Autopilot Help
Yes I calibrated the point-1 AP a few times. I installed the network and can see all devices. I believe I have the HDS 7 selected for GPS, but will need to verify.

Lowrance Cable Steer Autopilot Help
Good Morning. Wondering if anyone has any experience commissioning the Lowrance Cable Steer Autopilot. I installed one on my boat last year and never got it working right. I have been through the commissioning steps several times and every time I hit the hold heading button the boat turns hard to po...

Summertime Boat Storage
I live in the central/eastern part of Vermont and I love fishing on Lake Champlain. However the 2 hr drive hauling a 4,000Lb boat gets expensive over the course of a fishing season. I am looking for a spot to store my boat on its trailer for the spring/summer months and into the fall in the Burlingt...

Re: Okuma Reel Question
I have 4 of the Okuma Cold Water series and I love them. I also have the Daiwa Accudepths and those have been reliable as well.

Wintertime Woes
Left home at 5:00am on 12/3 with the intention of launching at the coast gaurd and getting out for some late season salmon. After a stop for breakfast me and my favorite fishing partner arrived at the launch, this is when the problems started! Untied the boat, mounted the digitrolls, and put up the ...

Lake Ontario
This is a little off the regular Chamaplain report but I thought some of you may enjoy hearing about the fishing on Ontario. My wife and I took off Thursday afternoon to fish out of the Genesee river in Rochester. When we started fishing on Friday the spawning salmon were thick in the river with man...

Re: Late Season Laker Advice
Thank you everyone for your advice. I hit the lake today. Launched at the CG around 6:15am motored down to the hump north of Juniper that has been pretty hot for me most of the year, set up with a couple hammerhead cowbells running peanuts behind them on the riggers, also setup 2 divers 1 with a spi...

Re: Late Season Laker Advice
I'll be hitting it hard all weekend and will let you know how I do. I've never used the Honey Bees. Do you recommend a spot to pict them up? I do have several larger Michigan Stingers and Dream Weavers, have you had success with those?
Thank You!
Thank You!

Late Season Laker Advice
Good Day I am fairly new to fishing Champlain. I have done well over the spring and summer months fishing out of Burlington. I typically will run a set of bright colored cowbells with either a spin and glo or a wobble glo and it seems to consistently produce good quality fish. If that slows down I'l...
