The 5 shakers and 1 laker released this passed weekend weren't coughing up anything. But the shakers were fat like they were eating well. The laker (17" range) was gaunt and had 2 lamprey scars.

Fished from 1 pm til about 6 pm when Ma Nature blew us off the Lake. Went 5 for 6 on salmon. Got 1 - 16" laker. All fish released. Laker had 2 big lamprey scars. Salmon were all shakers, except for the 1 that got away, of course. We set up near Diamond Island where we immediately picked up 1st ...

Mike and I got a late start. We blasted up to Diamond before setting up. Mike killed me with numbers... Anyhow, blue, green, silver Stealth (Salmoneye) 42 down and 25 back seemed to be the ticket. Went 4 for 5 on salmon...none keepers but fun anyway. Picked up 2 lakers with 1 having 2 - 8" lamp...

i trolled from Westport to Split Rock on 6/5. I got no action until just north of Diamond Island...for what it's worth. There didn't seem to be much at all for bait or fish (salmon / lakers) before Diamond. I did not try Barber's Point that day. Surface was mid 60s until Whalen's Bay, which was cold...

I launched from Westport yesterday, 6/5. On the water a bit late 8:20. Set up near Partridge Harbor and visited the usual haunts all the way to Whalens Bay. Had 2 releases with nobody home and missed a small laker just off Split Rock. Surface was mid 60s but Whalens was colder of course. Headed home...
