Re: APPALLED

Just received an email reply from Bill Howland. Everyone who wrote a letter was supposed to get one. Ignore the baloney in it and it's not hard to see what help anyone is going to get from them.

Re: You're letter of support needed Cormorant control

My letter has been sent. that said I am sick to death of pussy footing around these clowns. It has been years and no results have been produced yet. The time for promises and studies are over. My letter was short, pointed and some what critical of the lack of performance. Justifiably so in my opinion.

Re: APPALLED

St. Albans Bay has had problems for years I agree. But I don't agree that it is better today than it was 20 years ago. For one, blue green algae is a fairly new problem and the amount of algae is higher over the last few years. You just need ask anyone who lives on the lake in that area. I don't say...

Re: APPALLED

I have fished this area many times and have seen this over and over again. It has been going on for a long time. With NO RESPONSE from the state!

Re: fleas

It is not only the pan fish that they will cause a problem for. Any young fry or fingerling that prey on plankton will be affected by the spiny water flea. They will try and eat them and the result is death.

Lowrance Elite 7 Combo Unit HELP!

I have a Elite 7 that I put on my boat. Seems simple enough to operate but I'm just not getting good results with it. It is not making good fish marks (not hooks). I am totally confused over the choices of transducers and what the actual differences with them are. Also not sure if I'm getting interf...

Re: The current state of Lake Champlain

Buying the Swanton Dam! Now there is a perfect example of blowing smoke and plain old BS. Swanton owns the dam and they have been fighting it's removal from day one. I doubt they are going to sell it to LCI.

Re: The current state of Lake Champlain

Forty five million dollar announcement today. Sounds great to me. That said I'll get more excited when I see who will administer the funds, what they can be used for and who will be responsible to audit the program making sure the funds are actually used properly. If the requirements of this program...

Re: The current state of Lake Champlain

Reelax- I couldn't agree with you more. We have been hearing about study after study and we have been hearing it for 30 plus years. It's time for all the PC baloney to end. There is enough blame for pollution in Lake Champlain to go around. It's time to start getting the job done. If they don't know...

Of course they care about the fishery, that's how they make a living. I still think it was pretty petty in my opinion.

Makes me wonder, why not a post to the forum that simply reminded. Hey guys you need a permit for a derby. Instead of a call to F&G.

Re: Cowbanks Salmon

I think the State of Vermont needs to take a serious look at these fishing access areas. At the Morton's Bay access in St. Albans over the weekend it was a nightmare. I couldn't get an early start so when I got there is was chucker block full. I counted 16 cars with no trailers parked in trailer spo...

Re: Property line on Champlain?

I remember a case back some time ago in Missisquoi Bay, maybe even 25 years ago. Some fisherman were given tickets for being on someone's land in the spring. They were in a boat. It finally went to court and the ruling was that they were entitled to fish Lake Champlain to the high water mark. I reme...
