Need Help - Tips and Spots? Fishing June 3-4-5 THIS WEEK

Post by Bassaddiction »

I am coming up this week to fish, we are staying in a lake side cottage just north of Ticonderoga. I am going for Largemouth bass. So far the plan is:

Spinner Bait (bronze and silver blade, white and chartruish and mixture)
Black and Blue Jig
Senko (green pumpkin)
Creature Bait (green pumpkin)
Crankbait
Frog
Buzzbait (white/chartruish)

I am wondering where the fish have been holding lately and are they still close to shore? Grass and weeds and reeds? Some spawn still going on? I was wondering if anyone had any reports maybe you guys could PM me?? I mainly throw a jig and spinnerbait and frog when fishing Champlain.

I would love to just flip and pitch and fish the thick stuff and reel in some hogs (doesn't everyone? LOL).

Thanks for any help!!!

Just got back from 2 days at Ti. Fishing was very good. That line up will work for sure, as will flippin to holes in mats. After this cold front things may change - But the bass were cooperating for us. Water temps in the 70's mostly, even saw 80 degrees surface temp in one spot on Sat.

So we were on the water for about 2 hours, me and SteveP.

Air temp: 51 degrees

Water temp: 64 degrees

Wind was at 15-20mph and a light rain in the beginning.

We threw jig, spinnerbaits, chatter bait, fluke, meps spinner, worm

We fished from 7pm to 830pm after making the 5 1/2 hour drive. Caught 6 fishin in that span of time, best one going at 6lbs.

I am 6'4 230 for size reference.......
