Sounds like a good trip - congrats. I was there the 1st morning it was at 1,000 from the dam. It was 1200 down below 2a. The change in water had the fish hunkered down, everyone I spoke with was having a tough go of it. The bites I got didn't come till mid afternoon. Met up with a friend of mine and betwen us we went 2 for 6 with a few missed hits. i had one real nice fish onm and when it took off up through the boulder field above meneedless to say it was by-by mr.chromer. What a helpless feeling when one of those bad boys takes off and you can't drag the reel anymore. They make the heart race though and that is what keeps us winter steelheaders going.
Salmon, the other pink meat.
