11/17 Converse
Well boys its been a long summer of hard work for me but it has slowed down alot. Enough so i got a 7 hr outing today out of Converse. Launched in the dark and got the kinks out of the boat in the middle of the bay in the dark. Trolled up to Thompsons to start without a nibble worked the 40-60 ft range for a bit then headed across to Split Rock. Picked a laker up in the middle 35 down on a dodger fly. Worked Split for a bit with no takers. Went in Whallons and found bait lots of bait. Wasnt long had my first silver in the boat a nice clean 17 incher.Fish bit pretty steady for a few hours mostly salmon with a few lakers mixed in. No size to any of the salmon 14-17 inch. Had one quality fish on and he jumped up broke the line on a fixed cheater nice fish 4lbs plus.Finished up with doubles in front of the green camp at 1 pm . Had 2 4lb lakers on 1 pole today thought i had monster salmon as they were fighting in different directions didnt feel like a laker. All and all 15 salmon 7 lakers and no ciscos. Speed was 2.4 at lure water temp was 50.9 depths were 22ft-35ft down green and black blades on one side clean on the other. Blades side did best. Hot colors in order Fat Ivan, Fathead, Green Glo Alewife Stinger, Fat Buzzy. Fun day on the water.

Sounds like a great day on the water Jeremy. I was in St Albans bay late this afternoon and the water looked nice and calm for a change.

Alright Fathead! Landing some fish instead of tossing up bricks. Could be a nice way to ease into winter.

Sounds like you were busy out there, nothing wrong with that.

This lure is a home run, Pat made a bunch for us and it was the hot lure for us during the LCI.FATHEAD wrote:MarknFish (Mark) wrote:Jeremy - what's the fat buzzy look like?
