Walleye fishing around Montreal 11/15/11

Post by Wallyandre (Andre) »

I got a invitation from my friend Rene to join his duo (him and JF) and how can I refuse such a invitation. Wind forecast wasn't on our side but we decide to go anyway and because we are not far from home, we say to ourselves let's try and if it is not fishable we will just go back home.
JF had to go at 1.00pm for a appointement and he was the one that caught all the fish in the morning :)
We head back to the ramp to let him go for his appointment and we were hoping to catch some now that he wasn't there. Not long after: Fish On! It was slow action but steady. We fish until 5.30 (in the dark) but it seems the walleyes head for another spot; so we decide to get back to the ramp.
Another great day on the water with good friends.
There is some pics(take a 1hr.off from the time on the pics):

My fishing report are only 2 sites: here and another private in Quebec.
Ron, about WC: about 10 years ago I got a PM from a guy on WC. He is running a charter business but is real job is in finance; so he shoot me a pm telling me he was coming in Montreal for 3 days to do a 1 day presentation. He ask me about take him out for some walleye fishing around Montreal. So we took him in the Rapids of Lachine. Poor him he didn't catch a single fish while we were catching walleyes and SM one after another, the reason was he wasn't at ease fishing in those conditions. My friend was piloting his Boston Whaler into the rapids like nothing and I was looking at the guy's face and men he was scare.

Take a look at the video, thet will give you a idea.

Luc, you're absolutely right; with those 2 guys you always learn something different and they are passionate.

We may have a chance to see each other on the water Friday; I'm going to give a call to Mr. Walleye. :D

As for the new reel, for a 1st time I'm very happy.
