Sunday at Keelers

Post by meangreen1 »

Had another great day of fishing with my boy in Keelers bay... Landed over 20 salmon this morning... All in the 15-17" range flatlining spoons a couple feet down with split shots... No monsters but still a great day of fishing

Figured keelers would heat up! Nice job.... We're there lots of boats? Did you see any duckboats?

There were 6-8 boats out there but most stayed farther in the bay... I stayed out near the opening of Keelers on the south side. I did not see any duck boats out there but there were a few smaller boats farther in the bay trolling but I could not tell what kind they were.

Sounds like you must have brought enough food today. Good thing cause he will get Popeye arms in a hurry if you keep making him reel them all in. :)

Thanks for the report

Keeler's bay is in the northern part of the lake in the town of south Hero. Take rt. 2 through the islands. Keeler's has a small launch area with limited parking available.

Great picture and by the sounds of it a great day too!

You are thinking of Bulwagga Bay, which has been very hot for us the last 8-10 days. We were down there 3 times and boated 30+ salmon each day with a few browns and a couple steelhead mixed in. All fish came off the boards; both up top and 1 color of lead. Colors varied from day to day.
