Slow day, blow day

Post by Heijac »

Well, this was the last day of Nelsons visit, and it turned out to be pretty slow out there. Wind was pretty strong out of the south, so we stayed in the bay behind Thompsons. Picked up a couple little salmon early on the leadcore, then nothing but ciscos for a couple of hours. finally right around noon, we picked up a few more salmon, and a laker. The fly and dodger was definitely the hottest rig today, though we did hit a few on a wonderbread spoon. The ciscos are crazy, have to check lines every 10 minutes or so, just to make sure we were'nt dragging one around! One salmon today was just shy of 18", which is the biggest one I've seen in a week. Have to do better than that for saturday! Chatted with Digitroll, Suprise, Mike P, and Hawkeye. Day off tomorrow, then one last scouting trip friday...........

Glad I didn't go...

And the damn boat died on me on the way in...

It is definately a time/temp issue...I have more coils, but I am not changing them in the water, so it will have to wait...
There was a young man from Nantucket...
