Matt, I am wishing you a speedy recovery. Your stories and fishing stewardship are second to none. Can’t wait to get you out on the pond as soon as your up to it... I’ll miss seeing you at the shootout, but look forward to more adventures as soon as your back on the rod..

Fish on!

10/4/2020 finally hit a river today for some salmon fishing. been awhile couldnt wait to put my bobber drifting in motion. started fishing around 9 am and 43 degrees. frostbite time and the fall salmon run. fished an hour or so with 0 hits. went out in the lake part caught some perch and a small bass. then headed to another river and started fishing around 11 am . same set up bobber and a crawler. on my 8th drift i started to reel in when bobber dissapeared and line headed up stream. i knew this was a good fish but when i set the hook noone home and no crawler. that would do it so now on to pheasant hunting and no luck there either. i did see a fly fisherman land a 17 or 18 inch salmon. cant wait to go back even with the low water.
