BIG FISH CAN BE DANGEROUS

Post by edthehook »

Greg Myerson, of North Branford, Ct., has the world record for the largest
striped bass caught: an 81.88 pounder taken in Long Island Sound in August.
The IGFA officially sanctioned the all-tackle world record last week.

Myerson found out last Wednesday when he was at the doctor's office, a visit
made necessary because of a struggle with another striper. He was out fishing
the night before and landed a 55-pounder. When he got it in the boat the
fish was quite active and shot its dorsal fin through his foot!

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE. Besides, I have enough problems boating those 4-5
pound salmon!

I'd let a 55 lb fish stab me if he was in my boat!!

55lb fish - foot stab = win...

I remember a Marlin video where the fish broke a fishermans rib. Big fish are crazy strong.

I had a 8" blue fish bite my thumb...top teeth went right threw my fingernail bottom teeth shredded the bottom of my thumb and I was bleeding like a stuck pig. My father in-law was laughing pretty hard and all he had to say was...gotta respect the small ones too :)
For some people it's "one more drink" or "one more bet" for me the lie is "just one more cast" :)
