Pulled into converses empty parking lot (only supercabs truck) today with some howling south west winds. Called supercab for a report who was already slamin perch, and he said if you could make over to split its calm over there. So I set out to try.
2 to 3 footers later I made over and quickly set up. I was running 3 riggers, one with just my fish hawk probe on and 1 slide diver and lead core 5 colors out. Long story short 4 short salmon around 14" and one keeper salmon at 16". One laker and a cisco. everything was caught at 20 to 25ft down 150ftow, Colors were black and silver The water temp from the hawk at 25ft was 55.9 to 57 at split rock
and 58 at thompsons pt. Hope this is helpful.
maybe this weekend??

Good to hear someone was out and had some action.
Short fish is a positive sign. At least they are active.
Thanks for your report.

Bill,
Nice to hear you gave the new X-4 some exercise! Lot of wind in the last week and the next 3 days at least. Great report!

Thanks for the report nwhavenbill; as much as I hate to say it we need more wind and colder weather to turn that water over! Hope it happens before the shootout. Good Fishing!

That's good reporting! Nice to have a bite or two. Way to make it happen in all that weather.
