real quik overview. met thorny, cowboy and his friend lenny at the ramp at 6am.Lenny got the first fish on around 6:45-7 and it was a big boy but the fish had another agenda and the hook popped out. Had a few more fish spit the hook and then the outside line on the big board rips out of the release and i'm hooked up! the fish jumped once way behind the boat and it didn't look that big but when he got 10ft behind the boat we realized he was a pig!!! after an epic battle behind the boat an the captains superb netting skills we landed the 26inch 7.25pound salmon!!! pin minnows and brown trout speedy took most of the hits, all off the planer boards and almost all the fish came off the boards right tight to the boards. Thanks for the ride rob!!!!

Your welcome Tuck
A very enjoyable day on the water. My first 2 trips involved some boat issues and a smelly little rodent on board. Looks like the Cathy Jean has her MoJo back now. That was a great fish with a wild ending. I thought it was pretty heavy when it first hit. When it got close Tuck came to a strand still at the back and looked at me and said I think it's in the rigger. Needless to say it wasn't. That 7 pounder just had his nose buried off the transom. Then it showed itself and all hell broke loose! When that pig ripped hard at the cables I thought he was going to rip us off. Luckily he missed the cable and circled back and I was able to get him in the net. What a wild time! Too bad Lenny Dropped his. He had a jumping screamer that we almost had to the boat a couple times and eventually flew the hook out on a big aerial. Plenty of open dates if anyone is looking for a trip. It's only going to get better from here! Get out and enjoy the fishing!
