Monday afternoon shakedown

Finally got the Heijac out for my 2014 shakedown cruise this afternoon. Got out on the pond about 4 pm, and set up down in Daniels Bay. Put out 2 stickbaits on mini boards, a black and silver yozuri, and a green/gold Basspro $1.99 special. Rode the shoreline for just a short time, found some 43 degree water deep in the bay. As I swung out from the mooring buoys, got my first silver of the year on the green and gold. Circled around through the same spot, and hooked up a double, including a fat 23" 4.8 liber! Dropped the other at the net. 2 more passes, 2 more fish on, both on the green and gold. Ended up 3 for 5, in a little over 2 hrs. Great start to the season!

Nice going Randy.
I also got my shake down out of the way yesterday but kept my promise to the fish that I wouldn't hurt them.
Picking up a fresh tub of worms and headed out again today on Reelax!

Great job Randy,
That is a great area for early spring stick baits.... I still have not been on lake Champlain this year.
