5/4 troll out of port henry
Launched at 830am headed out to east channel an setup. 4 riggers an 2 mini Riley's was the program. Riggers back an forth from 5-26ft down. Trolled north picked up a small 14.75in silver an 24in laker. Made a turn up north a ways picked up another laker 25in both mid 4lb range. Made pass back north release no one home short time later fish on out of the water before pole release after a short battle clearing a few rods 6.75lb steelhead in the net. Turn south for one last pass an my daughter an son in law let me get the last rod to fire 18-3/4in silver. I was the captain an just gave advice where to set riggers an setbacks at. Most days I enjoy that more which I did Saturday. 5 for 7 an the 2 where hits an no one home by the time the kids got to the rods.

Re: 5/4 troll out of port henry
I do have a pic just have to figure how to post it, told my son in law wish I had a go pro for that fish. Hit a watermelon bomb pop at 26 down 54 back an cleared water before the pole released.. Then jumped 10-12times before my daughter slipped the net under it. It was on of the best shows I've seen in a very long time. Truth be told I just got done 5mins before telling them we only need a steelhead head an brown for a grand slam but came up short no brown but that steelhead made made our day.

That’s the 1st steelhead I’ve seen in many many months trolling. Congrats Chad and crew for being able to land that slippery acrobat. I would have loved to be aboard as it was netted.
Fish on!!!

Congrats Chad and crew for this magnificent catch.
Is it normal this steelhead seems to have a square tail?

That's a great fish ! Good work keeping it on the hook after 10 or 12 jumps - the fish are going nuts in this 50F water
I do not exaggerate when I talk about fishing - I underestimate, like I say "just one more cast honey, then I'll come home" !
Keep Calm and... Fish On !
