Sunday Nov 5

Post by Gecha (Gerry) »

Last Sunday I was invited to fish on the St-Lawrence river with 2 friends.
On the water from 8:30 till about 4 pm on a nice but cold day. We jigged some specific locations only known by the local guys.
The bite was good all morning but died around early afternoon.
We ended catching over 30 walleyes, keeping our quota of 18
That was probably my last time fishing walleye this year,.
Maybe I'll get a chance to go cold water fishing for salmon and lakers on Champlain before year end.

We jigged near structures in mostly 8-13 fow in outgoing time.
Once tide started moving in, the bite decreased significantly.
