Vermont Field Sports Closing Sale

Vermont Field Sports in Middlebury is Closing after the passing of founder and owner Dick Phillips.

Dick passed a few years ago and Longtime employee Greg was unable to come to a sale term with the family.

They are having a final closing sale.

As hunting season is underway and on the near horizon the Fishing section is still well stocked at some very handsome savings. They have a very broad local fishing gear selection.

I'm sorry to learn this. VFS has always been good to me even back in the college days! I liked the rebuild after the fire in 2007. They have always been well stocked and helpful. Maybe time for one more run this weekend to see what inventory they have remaining.

Sad to see another store go but, I will be headed over today to pick up some spoons an a few other fishing items.

Stopped today....Lots of Company :shock:

Bought a armfull of replacement gear of things I didn't need but know will wear out or lose and need replacement on downrigger cables, terminal hookups, slide diver tune-up. Elberta Clippers, Fishawk ....Dropped $120 at 50% off REG. :D

Sad to see them go Final day Is next Saturday
