anyone willing to share a few tips for my first trip to Lake Champlain?

i'm not asking for specific spots, but if you could tell me approximately the depth that bass are likely to be this time of year
My favorite way of fishing for bass is plastic worms, but if other things are better this time of year (jigs, crankbaits etc), please let me know.
I'll be camping on Valcour Island, in case that's helpful
