Afternoon Converse Bay

Had a morning meeting I couldn't get out of so hit the launch at noon.
Set up next to Pickett and pointed the boat into chop from the south. Marked some fish and for first time temp was showing from 47-50 feet and it would vary every couple feet. River water ? Lake turn over ? Few loops but we didn't do anything so picked and headed for shelter from Split Rock.
Much more comfortable trolling in the shelter from the south. Monkey Puke spoon started to produce as we picked up a few small lakers 47 feet down.
As we were getting ready to leave another rod fired and when I reeled up slack fish came out of the water hundred feet back. Looked like a good fish and was able to keep it in the water rest of the way in to net a nice fat 21 inch silver. Crazy Ivan green with black dots with pink stripe and brass finish has been good this summer. Anyone know the name of this one ?
Had company arrive and we all enjoyed the salmon and trout are hitting the smoker today !
Will try to be better with pics in the future........
