A Salmon for Suzy
A Salmon for Suzy
Fished the Inland Sea today due to North blow and was not disappointed. Fish were between 40 and 60 down in water ranging from 90 to 130. We boated a total of 10 salmon, 6 legal or better and 4 smolts. Copper with green stripe was hot and of course pink. We kept 2, one for us and one for Suzy, all others released. I managed to get another video of the salmon slayer in action which I will post in a bit, and she was nice enough to let me catch a few as well. A great day on the water.

Suzy was happy to get some fresh salmon, one of the things her Docs recommend she has in her diet for omega-6 fatty acid intake while battling the C word (and winning I might add). The Inland Sea fishery seems to be on a bit of a rebound compared to the past two or three years and not as many boats fishing so plenty of room to spread out. Remember the days of tangled planer board lines in the spring and boat rage in the summer? I think those days may have passed for good because there are fewer young people interested in anything outside of electronic devices which is fine by me, more fish for us!!
Hope to see some of you out there, if not on the troll on the way through to get to the west side....
