Lake conditions

With all the recent rain what are lake conditions. Have heard lake is high. Is there much debris floating.
Looking at a trip up the first weekend of August. It's a three hour ride from MA. so any info on conditions would be greatly appreciated. Looking at Port Henry to Westport mainly.

[Dead lake]

Last week Tuesday,Westport area, lots of grass and sticks and the water was chocolate colored and lots of fleas on my 30 lbs line,
It sucked, one small salmon and two white perch left by 11am.
