Fleas
Fished out of Willsboro bay and the fleas were so bad had to move. We were using 30lb and even 50lb on and still had a big problem. Sad to see this in this lake.

Re: Fleas
Saw this on Lake Ontario forum. Anybody try either option?

Re: Fleas
I have been using wood paint sticks with 15 lb Velcro rated and the male side stuck on the wooden stick. Makes a hell of a mess stripping then off going everywhere on the boat on the motor and yourself. I am rethinking this method. Seems easier to take a terry cloth towel and strip the string into one glob to work with and fold the line 180 degrees on the clump and just tear them off. Lot less mess and quicker. The stripper sends fleas in 360 degrees everywhere but in the water over the side!
We were in Willsboro Bay yesterday and 30 lb Berkley Big Game from Wallmart worked just fine! No issues. The 30 lb wire diver rods were a disaster and had to strip every 30 minutes at times. This is the first time I have had issues with my wire diver rods. The Fleas as everyone says are really thick this year.

Sounds like it is time for another great You-tube describing this method......
