Hit the inland sea today in a soggy morning with my last 2 DYP partners from the past 2 years… Joe and Jon.

These guys are old salty fishermen who know how to get it done. We set out of the launch at the cow banks. Set 4 riggers with some bling and sliding cheaters and a slide diver and a 5 color lead rod way out the top to finish the spread. We fished thru rain, bbq, tunes, stories, and finally had action.
Riggers started firing and we found silvers at 35-50 down over 100 fow+…
Cheese burgers, shrimp kabobs and pretzels covered the hunger while we worked the lines…
Around 1040am, a rigger fired and an adult salmon immediately leaped from the lake 40 yard back. Jon and I looked at eachother and it was special as you only see this look a few times year:)
Joe jumped on the rod, and the salmon had his way with him for a few minutes. till we could get him In the net…
Wow, it’s been a couple seasons since we landed a pig like that… finally Joe gets the fish he has earned with hard work over the last year of fishing:)
Congrats brother!
Fish on!
