I was down in Hampton last weekend to fish offshore and lost the better part of a nice haddock to a shark (unknown ID) on Saturday and a whole pollock to a thresher shark on Sunday at the boat which got everybody's attention with its 3' tail whipping around on the surface. Losing a few fish for the cooler is one thing but $2million!! Yup, DAMN SHARKS!!

We used to troll for Threshers out of San Diego. Great game fish! I've lost many fish to sharks over the years, and I've caught many too. I still have a pair of boots stained with the blood from a special blue shark! Though, I can't imaging losing $2.5-3m to a shark bite, especially when no one on board saw a shark and the bite was debated. With that said, Tournament anglers agree to play by the rules and judgment of the tournament!
