Is either the launch at Port Henry or Westport open ?

Westport I don't know for sure but has been all winter, port Henry looks like it should be by next week will keep u updated

Does anyone have an idea of when they generally put the docks in at Westport or Port Henry? I ask because for the most part I fish alone so with out the docks it’s a PIA to launch solo. Thanks in advance

The launch at Westport has a 2 1/2 berm of rock solid snow across the entrance of the launch ramp ?

I will try to find out some info on when docks are going in, have a friend that works for the state that is involved with putting the docks in? If I hear anything I will post to this.

Just messaged him he told me they will start putting docks in the week of the 17th didn't say where they are starting but that's a start. With few guys an no inmates anymore to help takes a little longer to do. They do five launches from Ticonderoga to willsboro.

Thank you for this, really appreciate it. I plan on making my first of the year fishing trip on Champlain the first or second week in May.

Does anyone know for sure if the the Westport docks are in? I ask because down here at Schroon the water is high and the docks are not in. Was just wondering if that’s the case for Champlain? Thanks in advance

Went by last week and the docks are in at Westport.
