Great news… Thanks for the update Scott. Sounds like Popster will be ready to hold down a jump seat on a
Salmon expedition here pretty soon:)

Fish on!!!

You're right, Scott. No place like home!
Little steps are turning into bigger steps as I'm gaining strength back. 5-1/2 weeks on my back at the hospital, not able to use my arms for support, nor any walking really knocked the crap out of me. Followup visits with the Surgeon are showing favorable results. My lifting allowance is a 10 lb rigger weight, or a 10 lb Salmon! Things are on the up & up.
Fish On and thanks all for the kind words and support.

Bill,

I've been off the forum for a couple months and just saw this.
I am so sorry for not being able to offer my prayers and well wishes sooner.
May you be blessed in your recovery and out on Pointer soon.

BIll,

So sorry I missed the notice about your bypass surgery and "Ballgrabber encounter".
I've been off the forum for a couple months.
My prayers and well wishes are with you and hope you can get out on Pointer this Spring.

Just a shout out of appreciation for all the support shown by my friends in this group....Randy, Scott, Raz, Michael, Mike D, Gerry, Andre, Paul M, Ron, Matt, Hawkeye, Meddie, Jack, John, Todd, Bill R, Cas and many, many more. It means so much.
Followup visits recently with my Doctors have been very encouraging and things are moving in the right direction. I'm still restricted in my weight lifting to a 10 lb Salmon. Max. No heavier! O well, a 9 lb Salmon will have to do!
Redi Rigs, Planer Boards, Church Inlines, Mini Discs, Laurvicks, Offshore, and

are all part of this time of year! Missing it this season.

Glad things continue to go well. Does this mean you are cleared to travel? I'm pretty decent at catching salmon under 10 pounds and I'd provide a doctor's note attesting to that if it meant we could get you on the water!
