Rod Holder trees

Post by striper192001 »

Forgive me as I may have asked this question before..... Can I get people to weigh in on tracks and rod holder trees ? Unless I am wrong.....most of tracks seem similar and are universal ? Please let me know if this info is wrong !

Really interested in opinions on different trees and how you like the way they adjust for height.........turn etc.

Thanks so much for your help !

As always feel free to email or text.

Tracks by Bert’s or traxtec are same and the standard. Buy either and you can’t go wrong. I use millennium’s rod trees as they are lighter aluminum and cheaper than the big brands. Have had these for 4 seasons and like them, they have held up well and not even corroded up in the winter salt use I put them thru.

(My highSeas brand trees seized due to the winter use after 3 years) salt froze up the screws:(

Hope that helps.

Matt

I don't run trees as Serenity runs solo, but I've deck monkeyed Reelax. His trees are awesome. We run it all, surface planers, mini dipsys, slide divers, lead and deep. It's a small transom, but well dialed in due to the flexibility the trees offer. I love the flexibility of his deck and if I was shopping, I'd replicate it.

Sounds like I need to examine his transom........and take some pics. I am trying to keep it rather simple........and effective

Thanks for the idea !
