New high water mark for Salmon on Reelax

Well the buck hunt has been slow for me this year. I have seen many deer and had great hunts, head gear has just been sparse. After seeing my 1st buck on Friday and it being a spike horn I decided it was time for a change in action.
We launched from Arnold’s bay at 630am and had the 1st fish by 7. We motored south and setup in an area on my graph littered with marks from past trips. Dave (WDNR) and Jeff (Lightandvariable) jumped on to work the gear and grill in the southerly chop.
We set 4 riggers with fixed cheaters in 48 deg water that stayed consistent to 100fow+. We started with a laker and then never saw another till about 9 am!! By 8am we were I double digit salmon and had 20 by 9 and 32 by 10am… it was a flurry of action ALL day. Doubles on one rod, triples all landed multiple times. Jeff landed a nice fat 22” followed by a 21” very early and they went into the box quickly.
Seemed any spoon with a hook worked and we didn’t change out much as it didn’t need it. Sausage gravy milkshake , blue moon, phantom, army truck, mottled green mpg, purple people eater all fired like machine guns;)
We mainly worked the 90 to 120 foot contour but think the fish were active just about anywhere.
We had hot dogs and some rubbed venison backstrap for lunch #1 and #2 and kept on reeling fish in. The bite stayed strong all day. By 1:30pm we were talking about the end, but we wanted to break 40 salmon and 50 fish total. By 145 we landed our 50th fish and started to pick the set. Each time we poped a rigger we either had one on or had a hit at the release. They were still HOT at 2pm! We did 3 more
Fish on the pick up to close the trip at 53 on the counter. The best part is that there were 41 salmon brought to the boat, with only a dozen lakers in the mix!!
We kept 3 more due to gill damage. After filleting them on the lake we found a few alewives in them but not much…
This was a day we will never forget. I have had this boat for 7 years and almost 2000hrs Of trolling. Never have we had the non stop fun and games we did on
Saturday. I am making plans to return asap as soon as my
Left arm cramps die down;)

f bait down to 90fow. Typically we run 20-40 above and the fish will rise to strike, you can see em on graphs as they rise…
