Abridged Report for the Last 2 Weeks

Post by Detritus »

I really meant to do a couple of quality fishing reports this week, but, time is just going by so fast. I'll also use the excuse that the shootout is coming up Saturday as well. But, I figured I throw out a few things for everybody.

Temperatures 53.5 to 54 at the surface, 53 down past 100' a couple places I checked.

Fish weren't hitting stick baits.

Cheaters on riggers produced the most fish both days in this report for last Sunday, as well as yesterday.

15 Lakers, 4 salmon, 4 lost a week ago. Just Liam and I on the boat that trip.

7 salmon, 4 Lakers, 6 lost yesterday was Liam, Myself, and our Friend James. If you want to catch a lot of small fish, do what we did, fish up high. As for the big silver? The Crew of the Country Angler doe not know what the recipe for that is.

But, over the past two beautiful fishing trips, we crossed paths with Reelax, Homewrecker, Randy, my friend Jacob and his crew on his new boat, the crew of the Noreaster, Dilly Worm and crew, Ron, and Randy on General Sturgeon, John, James, and more I'm forgetting. But, what great company to share the water right? Every time we caught a salmon on a honeybee we gave a thumbs up and a "thanks Jim" to the sky.

Here some pictures from the trips, sorry for not even rotating them. Going to be a hasty report, but hopefully better than nothing. We'll see you guys Saturday.

That last one swam right out of his hands, mid picture.

All fish caught on small spoons. Honeybees, Crazy Ivan's, DB Smelts, Speedy Shiners.

Great photos - love the one of Liam with a salmon in each hand ! You guys are catching lots of coldwater fish. Good luck in the shootout !
I do not exaggerate when I talk about fishing - I underestimate, like I say "just one more cast honey, then I'll come home" !
Keep Calm and... Fish On !
