Very sad news indeed. I dealt with Jim personally a few times on phone and he was always a gentleman. I also enjoyed all his postings on the forum. They were always concise and informative.
We will all miss you, Jim. I will cherish my Tamiron lures.

And it's uncanny how much the photo of him looks like one of our forum members IMHO.

Also note worthy...Jim Martino, the owner of Tamiron Sporting Goods/Honeybee Lures has a son that has interest in keeping the company going. If that happens, we will again be able to purchase his lures. Hopefully I can keep up to date on this and will pass on any news as I learn it.

@raz - Your note on the obituary "wall" is really spot on.

I attended Notre Dame High School in suburban Chicago and many of my classmates went on to Notre Dame and were in attendance about the same time as Jim. Our high school's nickname for our athletic team, and our band, was "the Dons", which means "the gentlemen". And that was certainly the way Jim carried himself and in the way he communicated with us as individuals and in forum posts.

Just sorry I didn't know about our Notre Dame connection. Rest in Peace, Jim.
