Rotary Team Results...

Kudos to the Rotary Team winners, but am I alone in being disappointed? 8 teams out of 75 weighed 2 fish. A few decent salmon, a few decent walleyes, and several moderate lakers. Champlain should be producing better! What's happening?

Clarifying the team standings and point system for everyone.
Each team had to catch and weigh in two different species just to qualify. Of 75 teams entered; only 8 weighed in
two species, so only these are relevant. Salmon had a "weighted" score using 0.55 as a multiplier, lake trout
multiplier was 0.39 and walleye multiplier was 0.51. Here are the fish for all 8 qualifiers: (This may not format well on
FB, but here goes:)
1) Fish N Finn: 5 lb. 14 oz. salmon 323.125 + 9 lb. 15.5 oz. lake trout 388.7813 = 711.91 points. 2) Rude Attitude: 4
lb. 9 oz. salmon 250.9375 + 8 lb. 10.5 oz. walleye 441.4688 = 692.41 points. 3) Just Released: 6 lb. 0.5 oz salmon
331.7188 + 8 lb. 6 oz. lake trout 326.625 = 658.34 points. 4) TrollingB's: 4 lb. 10 oz. salmon 254.375 + 10 lb. 1.5 oz.
lake trout 393.6563 points = 648.03 points. 5) Lucky Catch: 2 lb. 10 oz. salmon 144.375 + 12 lb. 11 oz. lake trout
494.8125 = 639.19 points. 6) Gimme Some: 1 lb. 15.5 oz. salmon 108.2813 + 13 lb. 5.5 oz. lake trout 520.4063 =
628.69 points. 7) Fish Heads: 7 lb. 4 0z. lake trout 282.75 + 6 lb. 0 oz. walleye - 306.0 = 588.75 points. 8.) Sure
Strike Charter: 2 lb. 0.0 oz salmon 110 + 9 lb. 13 oz. lake trout 382.6875 = 492.69 points. This is as simple, clear
and transparent as we can make it. Contact Peter with any further questions. Hope this helps. Thanks to everyone
for participating!

In this derby for the team category you have to weigh in two different species. Meaning (walleye and salmon), (walleye and laker), or (laker and salmon). Some teams do not realize it and assume it’s like the LCI where you can weigh in two of the same species. Makes it a fun dynamic where you have to try for something else. Keeps it interesting switching from trolling deep diving plugs for bottom hugging walleye, to cranking up the speed with small flashy spoons for skyrocketing silvers! Always a fun derby

Nice fish Ben, glad to see your great results. That walleye is probably common for you, But that steelhead must have been a hell of a battle…

Thanks for the peek

We had a great derby and boated a ton of fish. We were very happy that the salmon in the boat out numbered the lakers by 75%. We didn't have anything to weigh in but the salmon seemed to cooperate all day. The noon to 230 bite was amazing. With no weigh station within a reasonable distant for us we would have only made that run for something big. A lot of guys in our area said the same thing, over an hour boat ride to register a fish that may or may not make a team standing was not a good use of time when the fishing was great. I believe that if there was a weigh in at westport or Bullwagga there would have been more fish weighed in and more team numbers. Still a great event.
