Shore fishing for anything that wants to bite

Post by fishy1 »

5/11/2021 headed across the big pond today for some shore fishing hoping to get some eyes. Fishing with 2 worm rods with 1 ounce sinkers to hold bottom a little in the fast water tipped with crawlers. Started slow with pesky little white perch biting but it picked up . I had a blast caught 3 eyes 2 keepers and 1 short one sheephead and lots if big white perch. My friend erik showed up around 10 am and was jigging and landed 2 keeper eyes and 1 sheephead. What a fun day with non stop action. Here are some pics

Wow, you guys did great right there. The guys I know fishing from boats haven't pulled that many in in an outing. I've heard the bite is starting to turn on with the slower current.

We won't be getting out there until this weekend at the earliest though. Baseball season.

5/12/2021 headed across the big pond For some shore fishing . Started slow again but the bite picked up a little with white perch. It was sunny so the walleye bite wasn't there although I caught 2 shorts. Kept some big white perch for a friend. Wind started and rain and I headed home.

5/16/2021 headed over Sunday evening with fishy2 for some walleye fishing across the big pond. Alayna started out jigging with no luck then she started casting a stick bait and it didn't take long fish on and a good one but it unhooked. About ten minutes later another hit and fish on she lands a 20 inch walleye . She had 2 other hits but noone home.

5/17/2021 headed across the big pond with friend jason and to meet up with the Erik. . I decided to cast today a little suspending stickbait and Erik and Jason would mix it up. Worked out well for me and I was 2 for 6 for eyes and nice ones. Erik got 2 and Jason. 0 but it's okay gave him my smaller one for dinner. Lots of needling going on so much fun fishing with good company. My biggest eye was 7.45 lbs.
